Watercolor canvas and oils

Two efforts for today, both lilacs. This first one is watercolors on watercolor canvas. Still having trouble getting my blues and greens to look correct when I photograph them. This is 6 X 6 inches.

This second one is water soluble oils on canvas. Same size, 6 X 6 inches. I'm still having trouble with my value in oils. I'm so used to working with the white of the paper showing through the transparent watercolors and that water colors dry a little lighter that I keep getting my oils to dark. What you see is what you get with oils.
