Last week's efforts!

I didn't get as far as I was hoping today but I'll take an invitation to go fishing any time. We didn't catch much but it's still good to be out on the water. I'm really liking the colors on this one. There wasn't a big selection of fabric to choose from but these are working.

Beautiful day and some beautiful art at the Pigeon Key Art Festival. There were two artist's that I particularly liked, Michelle Nicole Lowe who does some wonderful close up watercolors, and Charles Passarelli with rich juicy dripping watercolors. I always feel like such a slug when I go to one of these things. Everyone else seems to be producing like crazy and I'm lucky I can get anything done anymore. But by the time I get home from work, I'm mentally exhausted and to tired to paint. Well at least this morning I did work on a little project. No pictures yet, it's a present and they don't know they're getting it yet. I love surprises!

I fell in love with this picture the first time I saw it and knew I had to do something with it. Michael John took it with his cell phone. I tried to get it blown up and printed on canvas for a gallery wrap but the resolution was way to low. So I let it sit. It finally dawned on me to do it as a Photo Memory Quilt. Some days I'm a little slow, can't see the obvious. Anyhow I gave it to them last night at the rehearsal so here it is. Wishing Michael and Andrea many, many, many happy years together! Love you guys!

The newest pieces are finished. I hope to get them on the for sale page tomorrow. 
Started a new photo quilt in sepia tones. Have to make a fabric run before I can go any farther with that project. I'd like to buy enough fabric to last for a few projects but I just can't seem to get ahead on that. Between the price of the wire and the price of the fabric, one sale is paying for supplies for the other project. It will even out soon. 

It's been a busy few days, I haven't stopped to take pictures or post. First, my stuff arrived in Georgia, four sales the first day in the shop, Woo Hoo! AND maybe a couple of commissions from the photo memory quilts. 
Locally I received  a commission for one of my little frog paintings. I ordered more canvas's for that one. I'm out of the little 6 X 6 size. Today I wrapped four 6 X 12 canvas's with watercolor paper.
Over the last couple of days I worked on a display rack for the earrings, not sure if I like the necklaces on there, I'll play with it. So I have been doing a lot, just haven't managed to get it posted in a timely manner. Oh, I also put in an application for the "Under The Big Sky Holiday Show" up in Missoula. That's a juried show so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me luck.

Latest photo memory quilt is done and in the box ready to ship to Georgia. It turned out really cute. I edited the background a little bit, makes for a better picture. 

Painted and ready to start quilting tomorrow. Yep, it's the ugly stage but it will be great once I get the stitching on it, makes all the difference. Busy day again, lot's more things posted for sale, paintings and jewelry and I even did a little baking, lemon bars. Yummy.
