Jellyfish.....still trying to figure out how to post from my cell phone. This is my first experience with the Pebeo Glazing Resin. I tinted it with one of the Fantasy colors just so I could see what I was doing. I like this shot because you can see the textural dimisions.

I did a tarot reading for a friend last night and the card that came up for her in the foundation or root position was the nine of wands. I thought this was very appropriate as she is a strong confident no fear kind of woman. I love the visual in the Motherpeace deck for this card. The woman may be battered and bruised but she can still sit comfortably surround by fire and not be burned by it. She has harnessed that energy and knows her strength’s and her weakness’s. Whatever life throws at her she can deal with from a place of strength. I thought wow this really does describe her to a “T”. She has been such a powerful presence in my life these last few months as I’ve been dealing with the crazy situation I find myself in. She has remained one of my touchstones to sanity so to speak. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the same card for myself this morning. The universe is trying to remind me that no matter what’s going on or where I’m at, that core of strength is also in me. I've been working on a few more pieces in the Pebeo line. I like all the "how to's" I've watched but they all seem to be a little more abstract then what I'm looking for. I love what this paint does and I want to be able to use it in a way that will work with what I want to accomplish. So here is a lovely trout in Pebeo Ceramic black. Vitrail in sky blue and lemon, Fantasy Moon in carmine, apricot and turquoise, and Fantasy Prisme in emerald and eggshell white.
I don't know what it is about me and relief or resist. The first couple of times I get back into it my hands shake like a leaf! Notice the blobs and unevenness of the lines. Thankfully I know as the piece progresses that will all be unnoticeable to most people. I'll still see it but I've learned to accept it as part of the process. I think it's a lot like the photo quilts, I've learned to like the lines a little messy. It reminds me of being a kid and coloring outside the lines only this time I get to make the lines. This is the Pebeo Cerne Relief in black on hardboard primed with gesso. These are a couple of little boards I cut for ATC's or ACEO's a few years ago. They are the perfect size to experiment with the Pebeo Paints. I'm thinking about a series of animal eyes so I thought I would try one to see how it goes. This is another turtle shell attempt. I really liked how the last one turned out and want to try a couple other colors.
I had a chance to sit down and play with my new Pebeo Paints this weekend. These are going to be fun to explore. The paints react with others in the brand and some react on there own. Look close at the textures. I threw a little bit of everything at these two pieces. Pebeo Cerne Relief, Ceramic, Vitrail, Fantasy Moon and Fantasy Prisme.
