I may not have colored eggs today but I'm watching paint dry, Easter egg colored paint. It's a good day. Happy Easter everyone!
Another in the flamingo series. I still need to do the grass they're standing on but it's looking good so far. I've drawn out a design for the next series but I'm trying to take pictures through the whole process and hopefully can post them as a series kind of like I did in the post titled evolution of Charlie. I think this next series will be fun. As I continue to play with these Pebeo paints and different mediums and the timing on when things are added they just keep getting more and more interesting. I still haven't figured out a solution to photographing them and capturing the depth and gloss and three dimension effects so the scanner will have to do for now.
He still needs some finishing touches and a name but he is looking good. Blue Iguana? Anyone know what that's from? It's ringing a bell for me. Looking forward to seeing the kids this weekend, road trip!
This is the finished version of Big Pine Charlie shrunk down to an up-loadable size. He's a huge file thanks to Gary's help. I'm working on a friend for him now.
The Pancakes and Booze Art Show in Seattle was very interesting. It was a very young crowd and there were not a lot of sales for anyone. Some did ok on prints but they were few and far between. I did make some great contacts that I hope will lead to bigger and better things. All in all it was a great learning experience and provided AMAZING feedback on my art. I'm excited to see where the next show will lead me. |
